Rock Ramp Trail
Ramanagara
Overview
An easy hike for the most part, except one short section that's slightly steep (might get quite tricky when wet). Has a small lake that's decent (decide to swim in it at your own discretion).
Trail description
The trail goes one a dirt road that along some farms and mango orchards. In about 500 m, you'll reach the base of the rock hill.
Once you're on the rock, it almost a consistent uphill, with a bit of a steep section half way up the hill. Be super careful on this section, especially if might rain or has already rained before. Because there a finite chance of slipping. Having good grippy shoes will help pass this section.
Once you reach the top, you get great views of the surrounding forest.
Come back down the hill the same way.
On your way back to the starting point you can choose to go via the lake and take a dip too (use your own judgement when getting into the lake). A fellow hiker and I swam in it post/late monsoon (October 2024), but water quality might change with the seasons.
